The Sacai x Carhartt WIP Fall/Winter 2023 collection is workwear for outer space

Thanks to Sacai, workwear just got even more popular. Back in January, the Japanese fashion house took to the runways of Paris Fashion Week to show off its latest collection. Obviously, anything designed by kween Chitose Abe is destined to be a big hit. But of all the collection, it was the Sacai x Carhartt WIP Fall/Winter 2023 line-up that had everyone gassed up.

Combining Sacai's androgynous aesthetic with Carhartt's rugged appeal, this collab takes workwear to elevated new heights. From bomber jackets to knit cardigans, every single piece features a layered, deconstructed design that's very similar to Sacai's work with other labels like Dior and Nike. Other cool pieces include a teddy coat that's lined with cosy fleece, a light blue bomber-cardigan (bardigan? comber?) hybrid, and a khaki quilted liner.

The highlight of the capsule may well be the cotton-canvas jacket. Seemingly inspired by the Austin Butler-adored Detroit Jacket, Sacai's version features inside-out zipper detailing, brushed gold hardware, and more pockets that you can ever imagine. The collection is then rounded off with a series of accessories, including bags, necklaces, and Carhartt's ever-popular Anglistic Beanie, which has been updated with co-branding.
